The Coming Superhero Movie War

Batman vs Superman

The rivalry between Marvel Comics and DC Comics is spilling over into theaters as DC and its parent company Warner Bros. fully commit themselves with their answer to Marvel/Disney's successful Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Since 2008, Marvel Studios dominated the box office with their shared universe superhero films like Iron Man and The Avengers. Now the competition between the two comic book giants can properly begin with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC's first real shared superhero universe movie. Then next summer, Suicide Squad further embellishes that film universe with its many DC supervillains and an appearance by Batman himself.

Not to be outdone, Marvel Studios is debuting the eagerly awaited superhero showdown Captain America: Civil War, while expanding its cinematic universe with Doctor Strange.

But that is just the beginning, 2017 and beyond is jammed with many diverse superhero film releases by both movie studios. It's too early to predict who will be the winner, but we're fortunate to have ringside seats to go with the popcorn for the Superhero Movie War.

Avengers: Road To Civil War & Infinity

Captain America vs Iron Man

First of all, anyone who is reading hasn't seen Avengers: Age of Ultron should stop reading and see the film because some spoilers from that film will be covered. With that warning out of the way, let's go over the ramifications of the newly released film.

Just like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron has proven to be a pivotal film in the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The Jurassic Park Franchise Isn't Extinct

Raptors

Now this is a summer film! After the disappointments of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Tomorrowland, Jurassic World comes roaring along and shows everyone the meaning of the term summer blockbuster. It's everything that a film of its type is supposed to be: exciting, thrilling, awe-inspiring, adventurous, and sprinkled enough with messages to go with the popcorn. It's rather amazing to think that the fourth film in a franchise would reinvigorate it especially when the last film in the franchise, Jurassic Park III, signaled that the film series had run its course.
